3 Questions for… Ramona Merencio, Barwoman

Ramona is 29 years old and since 2017 behin the bar. Currently she’s working at Molotov Bar in São Paulo, Brazil. Molotov Bar offers drinks and craft beer with the main focus on classic and self-discovered cocktails. Located in the western part of Sao Paulo, the bar has a cozy modern and industrial style interior.
We asked Ramona, who has been working here since 2021, three questions….

Name the coolest location where you ever mixed a drink.

On the „Rabo de Galo Competition„, it’s a competition to create a new version of a Brazilian classic cocktail, and it was amazing.

What is your favourite drink to mix and which drink do you like best?

I love to do a beautiful Expresso Martini, with a beautiful foam, I really love this cocktail. And my favorite drink is Kingston Negroni.

1 ounce Jamaican rum
1 ounce Campari
1 ounce sweet vermouth

What is more important in your job: being the creative head or a „show star“?

The creative head, for sure. Every cocktail that I create has a history.
